The Whitemane Clan is, without the slightest doubt, one of the strongest self-ruled members of the Confederation of the United Clans of Windcliff. While much of their power is indeed a product of Chieftess Lauren Whitemane's political mastery at making important treaties and alliances to strengthen her clan's position, none of that strength would be even remotely achievable without an equally strong military might to support the clan's interests.

After all, who would ever join forces in a military alliance with a weak partner? Power attracts power, and strength attracts more strength. Strong allies will only stand by the side of strong amazons, and such is certainly the case of the Whitemane Clan, thanks to their highly admired Whitemane Lancers.

From the top of their bright white warhorses, these usually bleach blonde Lancers strike fear on the enemy ranks. They are always ready and eager to charge into battle at full speed, building up enough momentum at the tip of their lances to impale right through steel plating, thus taking down even the heaviest armoured enemies. Sometimes, their initial charge is so well placed that each lancer ends up impaling two or more foes at once, pushing the next lines of the enemy ranks to the ground and trampling them, crushing entire regiments within a matter of mere seconds.

That, of course, if they do not already outflank the adversary forces altogether, charging them from the exposed back and stomping their way through whatever lies on their path. Those lancers might lack the wealth, the refinement and the pomp of the southern mounted nobility from the Kaiserin Lands, but their Wild Windcliff Warhorses are even faster and braver than any southerner purebred stallion, while the Whitemane Lancers themselves are hardened women from the steppes, tough as nails and fierce like a raging buffalo.

Furthermore, the amazons of Windcliff as a whole are the very best when equitation itself is concerned. They are born to the saddle and bound to their horses by an unbreakable bond of mutual trust and respect. They ride their horses as one single entity, making horseback fighting even easier for them than sparring using their own legs.
