Nephele's Way of the Rider

Nephele's Way of the Rider is an amazon martial doctrine heavily focused on equitation. It's inspired in Nephele, the patroness of horses and "Mother of Centaus", so the main principles of this primarily mounted fighting style is to be as similar to a legendary centaur as a bipedal amazon can ever possibly be. For that, the amazons of the vast steppes of Windcliff, who worship Nephele as an unofficial major Goddess, strive to become one with their own loyal steeds, treating horses as equals and achieving a formidable bond in between them.

The roving Clans of Windcliff are the only amazons of Arandolia who see Nephele as a major Goddess, just as important and powerful as Athena and Artemis. As such, they are practically born in the saddle from so much devotion they have for the bond in between horse and rider, learning how to ride a stallion as soon as they are old enough to hold the reins.

Practicing equitation since little toddlers makes the amazons of Windcliff grow up with a deep understanding of horsemanship, enabling them to build unbreakable connections with any horse they mount. They know and respect the creature's limitations, easily exceding them by encouragement through the fierce bond they stabilish together. They can therefore ride to battle using a horse's utmost potential, achieving great deeds through their synergy, which other common riders can't even imagine to be even possible.

As such, Amazons who fully embrace this particular martial doctrine excel in horseback fighting, riding their warhorses like no one else can even dream of doing! They usually adopt a hit-and-run stance in order to best use the advantage of their horses' great speed, always keeping themselves on the move and using the earth-shattering momentum of their velocity to deliver devastating cavalry charges on tightly-packed enemy formations. No one can ever equal them on horseback, and on foot very few enemies even stand a chance against these ferocious riders and their mighty steeds.
