Thalassan Dual-wielders

The ordinary Amphitritian Marines might be the most commonly seen naval troops outside the many City-States of Amphitrite Bay, thanks both to their greater numbers and their widespread presence all over the arandolian coastline while escorting trade fleets and patrolling the seas. However, the actual elite units who the amphitritians most rely on within their armies and navies are the heavily armoured Dual-wielders. Units those who aren't too often seen out of Amphitrite Bay itself, because they are the women sent anywhere only to wage actual war when things escalate beyond control.

Promoted from amongst the ranks of the Amphitritian Marines themselves at the City-State of Thalassa for showing outstanding skill at handling weapons, the Thalassan Dual-wielders are chosen to undergo an intensive trainment that enables them to handle 2 weapons at once. This makes them more exposed to missiles, but also much deadlier in any melee fight. So they charge under the cover of their allies' shields, both inspiring and opening the way for the rest of their armies to tag along once they hit the front lines and engage into combat.

They also love to compete at the olympic fighting games every year against their rival northern neighbours of the Athenian Fields. The fact that they use 2 weapons instead of just one is often quite a controversy amongst the arbitrators and fans alike. Many athenians claim it to be cheating, while the amphitritians insist on the fact that there are no rules officially forbidding a challenger of wielding a weapon at each hand.

Either way, there are always confrontation amongst the fans when a particularly skilled Thalassan Dual-wielder specifically wins a fight against an Athenian Champion during the finals of the olympic games using her left-handed weapon. So whenever such a match comes to occur, the security on the stadium is at least tripled in order to contain the revolting fangirls.
