Amphitrite's Way of the Seafarer

Amphitrite's Way of the Seafarer is an amazon martial doctrine heavily focused on seafaring. It's inspired in Amphitrite, the Goddess of Seven Seas, so the main principles of this rather nautical fighting style is to learn how to fight just as good on a vessel sailing over the waves as one would fight on dry land.

It is not as simple as it sounds, though. The rocking of a floating ship and the sheer instability of the ground beneath your feet makes it really hard to maintain a decent footing and balance during a fight, so without a good training on learning to feel the waves and compensate them acordingly to their intensity, any warrior can be rather useless if assigned to fight on a vessel. Many are those who topple over their own boots and completely miss when striking in this situation, especially if the sea is agitated with high tides.

As such, Amazons who fully embrace this particular martial doctrine excel in navy duties, having a great advantage when fighting on the seas and overwhelming enemy vessels with ease. They usually adopt an aggressive stance by often taking the fight onto the decks of the enemy vessels by boarding them, and they are also pretty good on amphibious assaults launched dry land as well. As long as the sea or a wide river is nearby to bring their vessels ashore, those seaborne warrioresses are just as dangerous as the wrath of Amphitrite herself!
