Tainted Amazons

A.K.A.: "Heathens"; "Worshipers of the Fallen one".

Distinctive Characteristics: Freakish gray skin tone, ghoulish looks and bloody red eyes along with dark veins visible through the skin makes it quite easy to spot an amazon in advanced stage of the Taint of Bloody Eris' corruption. However, the corruption is gradual and many tainted amazons wear makeup to hide their taint marks.

Cultural Traits: Not all the tainted amazons are of Edgelander origins. A lot of them are amazons from distant regions who fell in heresy and flocked to the Edgelands, but all of them worship the Amazon Goddess of Chaos in the most nefarious ways imaginable. No matter what they once were before the tainting.

The Tainted Ones are the scourge of the amazon society. Deeply corrupted by the nefarious ways of the Fallen One, those amazons are more than eager to commit even the most abominable things in name of their wicked deity. Things to make ordinary murderers tremble on their feet.

Very often they are mistaken for Soulless Amazons, though they still have their souls within their bodies. A dark soul tainted by Bloody Eris at that, but a soul nonetheless, which they actually use to act in name of their dark mistress and spread their foul corruption wherever and whenever it's least expected.

Everything about them is shady and mysterious, so very little is known about those women or about the taint they possess. All that can be said is that they're extremely dangerous and highly unpredictable. Specially when they leave their wicked safe haven at the Edgelands to propagate their heresy within other regions of the Amazon nation.
