Edgelander - Soulless.jpg

A.K.A.: "Husks"; "Thralls"; "The Lost ones".

Homeland: The Edgelands

Distinctive Characteristics: Impassive and lifeless-looking, the soulless amazons show absolutely no sign of humanity on them. Their dull eyes have darkened irises and red spots around it, while their skin is pale and dry.

Cultural Traits: Those poor amazons had their souls syphoned out of their bodies in profane rituals of dark magic. As long as the empty husk of their former selves live, they shall only exist for one single purpose: to serve the new owner of their souls.

Nepharious dark-magic rituals performed by the tainted followers of the Fallen Goddess Eris are widely known to be ghastly macabre. Things ranging all the way from cannibalism to summoning of mystical entities of chaos, and including the syphoning of souls out of someone's body, binding the empty living vessel in complete servitute of the soul-stealer, while the extracted soul remains imprisoned on amulets typically made of raven feathers and bones for as long as the body lives on without it.

The bodies with no souls become dutiful thralls of their respective dark mistress, incapable of doing anything they are not ordered to do. They are often malnourished and dehydrated, as they feel no hunger nor thirst, much less pain or any emotion at all. They are only compeled to act out of mindless submission, coming so far as to hurt their own family without any hesitation if ordered to do so.

Until either death finally sets them free or their souls are liberated from their spiritual cages, the soulless amazons only exist to serve their masters. Nothing else.
