Hellensport Royal Marines
The Kaiserin Royal Crown fully recognizes the crucial need of assembling and maintaining a strong Navy in order to keep their island nation safe and sound from foreign invasions. As such, the Queen largely rellies on the biggest and wealthiest port city of Arandolia to maintain the amazon supremacy over the waves, while she herself focuses on inland matters at the capital city of High Hera.

Hellensport is, therefore, the city which is fully in charge of the Arandolian Navy, acting both as the central naval headquarters, as the main office of maritime affairs, and also as the largest shipwright of the nation. Their White Swan Banners are the ones flying over the Royal Navy vessels that sail in name of the Queen, and the Royal Marines are the formidable warrioresses who crew those mighty war galleys.

Being rather heavily armoured for seafaring military units, the Royal Marines are clad in steel in order to render them much more effective at intercepting and boarding enemy ships. This, however, do render them quite vulnerable to drowning if they ever fall into the water, so the sailors on their vessels remain always at the ready to dive with ropes and save any infortunate marine who splashes onto the ocean.
But the drowning casualties are usually minimal, while wearing heavy armour pays off very well at preventing actual combat casualties. Along with their heavy two-handed weapons of choice, those fierce women-at-arms are very well-trained in melee combat, taking full advantage of all the steel covering their bodies to assault and take over enemy ships without barely giving conventional naval forces even a mere chance of fighting back.

On the other hand, all the saltwater and the humid sea breeze do not help their shiny armours very much. Rust is a real problem to them, so they need to constantly clean and polish their plate pieces with a special anticorrosive wax. Otherwise, their suits start to get dark and reddened with corrosion after several years of service, at which point the Queen needs to provide new armour for her highly effective marines.

And about their vessels, the crown doesn't spare coins on commissioning the largest and best equipped War Galleys of Arandolia. They buy dry wood in bulk for the always busy royal shipyards of Hellensport, where the shipwrights have exclusive access to vast dry docks upon which to built the biggest and sturdiest hulls. The three-mastered, two-decker "Manticore" ships are the fiercest and heaviest naval design of amazon origin, with a set of oars on the lower deck to further enhance its speed and agility, and a good number of ballistae mounted on the upper deck to either bombard or throw hooking harpoons on the enemy ships.
