Hera's Way of the Righteous is an amazon martial doctrine heavily focused on honour and valour.

It's inspired in Hera, the All-Mother of the Hellenic Pantheon, so the main principles of this highly dignified doctrine is to be a true bastion of virtue, making your kin proud by standing in defense of all that is right and true in this world, upholding justice and the status quo above all else.

Family and traditional values are the most important things for the hellenic amazons, so that's what the vast majority of them usually fights for. Hera is the Goddess who best represents both of these things, and in the Arandolian version of her, she is perceived not just as a merciful mother, but also as the mightiest divine being in existence. She is often depicted wearing shiny golden armour and riding a massive lion to battle, leaving it very clear that she can be just as merciful and forgiving as she can also be utterly implacable to those who deserve punishment.

 

Hera is known for defending of all that is right and fair, so it is every amazon's sacred duty to do the very same. Amazons who fully embrace this particular martial doctrine excel in discipline and obedience, following their orders to the letter and holding their ground no matter what destiny unleashes upon them. They usually adopt a rather defensive fighting stance, believing that nothing can take them down because they are the rightful protectors of order and duty. They feel that if they are to die a honourable death on the battlefield then so be it, because Hera herself will be welcoming their souls on the golden gates of the Elysian Fields.
