Hightower Hammermaidens
The Hammermaindens are the youngest and lowest-ranking members of the Sisterhood of the Dames of Hightower. They are mighty veteran soldiers already, but still they have many years of absolute devotion to their monastic order's commandments yet to come, before they may one day perhaps be blessed with the spiritual touch of the Arandolian Goddesses in their souls, just like all the Blind Sisters who command them already were in their iniciation rites.

Until that day arrives, they shall use their martial prowess to protect the Citadel of Hightower, vowing to give their own lives in defense of what lies in its vaults if needed be. A vow that they take very seriously, because they know quite well what is at stake.
There are things within Hightower's vaults that aren't meant to ever be touched by mortal hands. Things that might bring the demise of entire civilizations on the wrong hands. Artifacts of catastrophic power, long forgoten by the Goddesses who created them. Or perhaps they were left behind on purpose, only to test the spiritual fortitude of the amazon people.

On account of that, only the best and most devouted warrior nuns are bestowed with the honour and the priviledge of being knighted a religious dame of this rather reserved and cloistered amazon monastic order. An amazon order that keeps deep dark secrets hidden even from their own peers of other amazon religious orders. The Hightower Sisterhood distrusts even the Sacred Order of the Marble Dames, being even more reclusive than them, as not even the Supreme Priestess of the Amazons is allowed to step on Hightower's sacred grounds.

Only amazon women thoroughly loyal to the Sisterhood of the Dames of Hightower itself are allowed to enter Hightower Citadel, while the Hammermaidens are the ones to make sure that no one else penetrates the self-imposed seclusion of that place. Because what makes it sacred is, oddly enough, the very thing that repels pilgrims and visitors instead of atracting them.
