Blind Sisters
The Blind Sisters are the highest ranking members of the Sisterhood of the Dames of Hightower. Through countless years of absolute devotion to their monastic order's commandments, they earned the right to step within the sacred vault where the holy relics belonging to the order are kept, as well as the right to look inside the most sacred of all artifacts. The Urn of Pandora.
It is believed that whatever currently lies within that urn is capable of enlightening the soul of anyone who looks directly upon it, imbuing them with deep wisdom and the ability to see what no one else can see. However, this comes with a dire price. A price which very few amazons are willing to pay.
This revelation is simply too much for any mortal eyes to behold, in such a way that anyone who experiences it have their irises burnt beyond remedy, forever losing their vision. On the other hand, a Blind Sister can from that moment on see the souls of anyone within a hundred meters radious. Right through walls and thick clothing, they can know the true intentions of anyone who approaches then, looking straight through lies and even foreseeing imminent actions of their foes in combat.
As such, they can sense the presence of any imminent threat to their citadel, remaing always on watch to protect the sacred Urn of Pandora as its last and fiercest defense. When in battle, they simply never miss a blow, because they know where and when the enemy will attack, just as where and how they will defend. That, along with intense martial training, culminates in the ability to parry any blow and counter-attack with perfection, making quick work of most assailants who may dare to invade the impenetrable walls of Hightower Citadel.

However, they still can't see inanimate objects. A Blind Guardian knows the citadel's grounds by heart, just as if it was the back of their hand, so they can navigate through its hallways and rooms with ease. But when outside of known grounds, they are completely vulnerable to stumbling onto obstacles and loosing their footing. Just like... well, any normal blind person.

Moreover, it turns out that their supernatural powers seem to dwindle as they begin to get too far away from the Urn itself. That's one of the reasons why they never leave their home, remaining forever bound to guard the deepest chambers near the Urn of Pandora. From there, they also command all the rest of the Hightower Sisterhood, acting as a ruling council of enlightened guardians, who only care for the preservation and the security of the most valued artifacts of the amazon kin.
