Expatriated Dames of Iphalos
The City-State of Iphalos is located at the crossroads between three very powerfull and distinct Arandolian regions: Amphitrite Bay, the Athenian Fields and the Southlands. As such, land trade routes are just as important to them as maritime ones, while their borders are always under serious threat shall any war erupts in between any of the three aforementioned regions.

The local ruling elite therefore noticed long ago their dire need to field strong armies to protect their borders from land invasions, and lacking the cavalry tradition which other amazon factions have, they decided to "import" cavalry regiments from right across the border.

By offering lands, nobility titles and great amounts of coin to Adlerfurt's titleless bastards, Iphalos' oligarchic government managed to bring into their army a substantial number of heavy cavalry lancers from their neighboring faction. Those bastards have never been the very best of Adlerfurt's famous noble cavalry, but yet they are great riders, made even better through the generous financial investiment on their arms, horses and armour offered by Iphalos' armoury.

Now proper Dames, those women are no longer bastards, but landed nobles in their own right. They abandoned their red capes and the Adlerfurt Black Eagle Sigil to adopt the exuberant Tyrian Purple colour and Iphalos' Octopus Sigil instead, thus ascending in life in a way they'd never manage back in Adlerfurt. However, that came with a dire price to pay.
Back in their place of birth, the people of Adlerfurt now considers them traitors, cursing their names for abandoning their families. Families who actually never fully recognized them nor treated them right. Families who made sure the bastards would never rival the true legitimate high-born daughters of the Adlerfurt nobility. But still the families who once cared for them nonetheless.

Steeds: Amphitritian Bluesilver Warhorses
Now they live with a deep conflict within their hearts. They managed to make their greatest dreams come true, becoming the dames they always wanted to be, in a new home that trully loves and respects them as heroines. But looking back to their origins, they will always remember their former lives and feel that bitter taste of personal angst. Because Adlerfurt has a saying: "Once a bastard, always a bastard. No matter how shiny your armor might be."
