Chestnut Chosen Raiders
The Chestnuts are one of the of the most old-fashioned clans of the Windcliff steppes. Always taking what they need from their neighbors, their long tradition of raiding is just as old as the tradition of their Chieftesses choosing the best raiders within the skirmishers of the clan to be their bodyguards and companions.
Only the most vicious riders receive this privilege, which comes with high status and a considerable amount of (stolen) wealth. Yet they continue to fight half-naked in the cold, just like the rest of the clan. Because once a Chestnut Raider, always a Chestnut Raider. A saying they take on very seriously, as they arm themselves with heavier weapons to enable them to fight in equal footing against the elite of the enemy forces.

Of course, their vitals are exposed. But so are their enemy's vitals vulnerable under several layers of armour once a Chosen Rider hits it with a massive Bearded Axe.
