Weapons: Usually a mace, a sword or a spear, and a shield.
Outfit: A cape and a tabard bearing Hera's Chalice over a padded gambeson or chain mail. Their outfits vary because they are levied volunteers who buy and bring their own weapons and armour.
Skill level: Varied. From rookies to battle-hardened war veterans.
Affiliation: Marble Strip.
Doctrine: Hera's Way of the Righteous
Strengths: Great diligence, devotion and resolve towards the Amazon faith makes them really determined fighters.
Weaknesses: They only flock together and fight during Holy Wars issued by a Supreme Priesstess. When the war ends, they disband.
Amazon Crusaders
The Amazon Religion is an enlightened faith that preaches peace, tolerance and mutual understanding above all else. However, it also preaches the sacred duty of all amazons to stand against all kinds of oppression, heresy and evil, making it every amazon's sacred duty to rise and fight in the faith's defence shall the need ever arises.

As such, whenever heresy runs rampant or Arandolia finds itself threatened by a foreign invasion force, the Supreme Priestess of the Amazon Godesses may summon a Holy War to unite the amazon people under a single banner. The banner bearing the sigil of Hera's Chalice. A call to arms is therefore sent to the seven corners of Arandolia, and every able-bodied pious amazon shall take up arms, flocking towards the righteous fight.

From raw recruits that never saw the horrors of war, to battle-hardened veteran soldiers bearing the scars of a lifetime devoted to combat. From humble farmers weilding pitchforks and axes on foot, to fully armoured high-ranking noblewomen mounted on the finest horses. Women from all classes, ages and professions join the ranks of the righteous zealots, varying a lot amongst themselves in skill, gear and experience.
The amazons' devotion to this common righteous cause is more than enough to make an heterogeneous rabble of volunteer soldiers put aside their diffences and fight shoulder to shoulder against anything that threatens their land and kin, giving the very best of themselves in the name of honour and divine justice. In a brave display of undying faith and devotion, the crusader amazon forces shall achieve an ultimate victory under the watchful eyes of their praised Goddesses. ...Or die trying.
