Wraiths
Many believe the Wraiths to be righteous ghosts who returned from the afterlife to haunt on the wicked. Others believe them to be nothing but legends made up to scare corrupt nobles and keep them in line, while others still claim them to be a mere excuse made up to cover secret plots of the always scheming nobility.

Truth be told, none of them are right. The fabled Wraiths are very real, and actually made of flesh and bones! They do hunt down and expose corrupt and wicked women from all over Arandolia, but they do so in the name not only of righteousness and justice, but also for the fair Duchess Thalia Therasdotter of Therahaven, the woman who train, equip and fund this practically invisible force of loyal and deadly amazon secret agents.

Their usual orders and main purpose is quite simple: uncover any ill-intentioned plot or scheme going on throughout the nation, exposing corruption, stopping extortion and preventing any possible frauds that might damage either the land or the people of Arandolia!
For this, the Wraiths infiltrate themselves on the focus of the corrupt activity, gathering intelligence and investigating the truth, until collecting irrefutable evidence of something wrong. Up to this stage of their quests, they carry no weapons and wear no armour, hiding in plain sight by wearing common clothes and blending in amongst commoners, servants, guards and nobles alike. However, once they have the confirmation of the commited crimes, they dress up their black cloaks and gear themselves up, getting ready to exceute righteous justice in the name of the oppressed and the weak.

Depending on the crime itself, the perpetrators get their punishment according to the gravity of the damage they caused. Small frauds are simply anonymously exposed to the local authorities, while larger webs of lies and corruption are dealt with from within, bringing the whole scheme down by destroying the very root of it. For that to happen, many times the Wraiths use the perpetrator's own weapons against them, blackmailing, threatening or even outright assassinating the worst targets.

Thanks to the invisible and dedicated work of the Wraiths of Theravalley, these anonymous heroines make Arandolia a better place, without ever getting merit for the great things they do. They act out of sheer goodwill and self-realization, risking their own necks so the people who don't even know they exist can sleep better at night.
