Worship: Aglaia, minor Goddess of Creativity and Splendour

Sacred animal: The Ovenbird

Attire: Silk robes and bronze ornamental armour. They usually carry weapons too, though they are craftswomen rather than warriors.

Bodyguards: Athenian Champions

Main Temple: The Temple University of Aglaia, in Aglaia.

Scope: Metallurgy and craftsmanship. Aglaia is the personification of creative splendour itself, so it is her priestesses' sacred duty to guide and encourage the amazon artisans, architects and artists to craft the very best masterpieces imaginable.

Powers: The Pristesses of Aglaia act as both guild masters to foment local manufacturers, as artisans to create masterpieces of their own and as headmasters on the best universities of Arandolia.

Priestesses of Aglaia

As a minor amazon Goddess and the personification of Creativity and Splendour, Aglaia is worshiped by all the most skilled artisans, craftswomen, smiths and artists amongst the amazons. Every forge, carpentry, workshop and atelier usually have at least a finely sculpted statuette dedicated to her name, while the largest centers of metallurgy, plastic arts and architecture have entire temples built in Aglaia's honour.

As such, the Priestesses of Aglaia are entitled to encourage the develpment of talented artists into grandmasters of their trade, as well as fomenting the crafting workshops scattered all across the nation. For this, the central headquarters of those priestesses, based in the University of Aglaia, assigns their best priestesses to each major city of Arandolia, where they are entitled to found and manage guilds for carpenters, artists, smiths and masons, enabling those skilled craftswomen to work together and share their knowledge amongst themselves for the greater good.

Through those guilds, new crafting methods, materials, tools and techniques are created, turning competitors into colaborators and making many personal breakthroughs widely available to the crafting community, resulting in better goods all around.

While they supervise and encourage others inside the guilds they run, the Priestesses of Aglaia also keep their eyes open for promising young talents amongst the apprentices of the local craftswomen. Whenever they find a suitable candidate showing great potential in any artistic field, they promptly endorse the youngster's career and send her to the University of Aglaia itself, where their monastic order shall pay for the formal education and for the improvement of all the young artisan's skills.

Of course, all that generosity isn't actually completely free, as all the talented amazons graduated under the priestesses' patronage are expected to work for the Priestesses of Aglaia themselves at least for a full decade, greatly contributing for the development of knowledge and for the creation of religious-themed artistic masterpieces. All that will then go straight to the University's archieves and galleries, or sold for great fortunes to museums and private collectors of fine art all across the nation, bringing nearly incalculable amounts of coin to the priestesses' coffers through the hard work of the newly-graduated youngsters, whose formation they so intensely invested in.
