The Persephonian Steeds are a special breed of warhorses originated from the Plains of Persephone, in the very core of the Kaiserin Lands. They have always been highly favored for their rather docile and gracious nature, becoming the one of the most widely bred horses of Arandolia thanks to the caring hands of the Kaiserin Royal Family.

 

Throughout the ages, the Kaiserin nobles of Owl Valley were very finicky at the husbandry of all their animals. Just like they did with their famous white owls that became their house's sigil, they used selective breeding not only to enhance their horse's physical and behavioral attributes, but also to widespread the albinism genes on this once diversely coloured breed of horses. Nowadays, almost 95% of all the tamed Persephonian Steeds are as white as the colour of the Kaiserin Family's hairs, becoming some of the most sought after breeds amongst the amazons because of the way in which the Queen herself always employ those gorgeous white steeds in all her guards and armies's mounted regiments.

Nearly all the Dames loyal to the Kaiserin Family ride white persephonian stallions and mares out of their own will, while the finest mounts are always reserved for the Queen's Royal Guard itself. Thanks to their very submissive and obedient nature, as well as for their naturally refined way of galloping, most high-born families of Arandolia also have a number of those great warhorses in their stables, both for displaying them around to enhance their status and for simply enjoying the great company of such a sophisticated mount.
