Engineers
Engineers are a huge help in both defending or attacking any settlement or fortification! After all, they are the ones who will examine, plan and supervise all the efforts of reinforcing walls, strengthening gates, building up siege equipment, catapults, balistas and all sorts of defensive and offencive measures that make all the difference in the world during a siege battle!

Of course, one can easily build ladders to assault walls or erect and repair fortifications using simple masons, carpenters and even low-ranking soldiers who have some past experience in building, but if you want a job well done, you need qualified professionals to do it!

By properly organizing and guiding the amateur work of a bunch of inexperienced women into an efficient and well-coordinated workforce, an Engineer can not only accomplish any project in less than half the needed time, but also build some real game-changing war machines that are sure to save many allied lives or slaughter many enemy ones!
From armoured battering rams to massive siege towers and even mighty trebuchets, an Engineer's dedicated work can play a crucial role at any battlefield. The more engineers accompanying an army, the more efficient and numeous the siege engines will be, because even during battle they play a very important role at identifying weak spots and good targets on the enemy positions, as well as making all the necessary calculations for aiming the catapults just right.

One precise shot at the right place might be already enough to breach the enemy walls and open the way to victory, so a general should spare no coin at hiring the best Engineers she can ever find!
