Role: Support Unit (Scout / Messenger / Interceptor Bird)
Bird: A tamed Eagle from Eagle's Island.
Weapons: A Yew Longbow, flight arrows and a hinting knife.
Outfit: A fur coat, sturdy boots and a reinforced falconry glove.
Skill level: Master in bird taming and also sharpshooters in archery.
Affiliation: Eagle Island.
Doctrine: Artemis' Way of the Huntress

Weaknesses: None. Eagles are the top of the winged food chain, while their falconers are outstandingly skilled longbowmaidens too!
Eagle Island's Falconers
While average Amazon Falconers are already extremely useful units to have within any army, the Falconers from Eagle Island bring the usefulness of tamed birds of prey to a whole new level!

First of all, they don't tame and command simple hawks, falcons or owls (which are already pretty awesome all by themselves), but Eagles, the unchallenged mightiest wings of the bright blue skies!
That alone already means their birds are impossible to be intercepted by anything at all, while they can also easily prey on almost anything (or anyone) that moves.

As such, a besieged enemy'll never be able to send messages asking for reinforcements while an Eagle is stationed at the ready to intercept anything coming out of the besieged city or castle, while any caught message will promptly be brought back by the trained bird, revealing the now failed plans of the poor surrounded bastards.
Such an information can be invaluable, and your own messages will be certain to reach their destines without the slightest risk, if delivered by the very same trusty Eagle.
But Eagles are not easy to be captured, tamed or trained! They are ridiculously dangerous creatures who simply do not reproduce in captivity, laying their eggs only upon the highest peaks and on the tallest centenary trees. To make matters even worse, they are stubborn like hell and also very proud animals too, who can easily kill a human being by pecking right through an eye or a throat. Only the Amazons of Eagle Island are bold and audacious enough to reach those high places for the yet unborn eggs, hatching them and nursing such a magnificent creature within the cozy warmth of their own homes.

Of course, the tamed Eagles are never encaged so they can learn how to fly and fully develop their wings while being tamed and trained, becoming as loyal as a hound, but 100 times deadlier! When fully trained and ready to be assigned on duty to a skilled falconer, the bird will gladly track, find and kill anything that it is ordered to intercept, and in the event of the message being carried by an armed human messenger, any commanding Falconer Amazon from Eagle Island can very well use her own longbow to aid the bird on its job.

After all, all the Falconers from Eagle Island are also thoroughly trained to be master level archers, becoming just as sharp and deadly as the the mighty Eagles they tame!
