Dwarven Peddlers

As any quick look on ther Arandolian Map may show you, the region of Iridia is a montainous peninsula with relatively good access to the Eastern Arandolian Sea. That could very well make the Dwarfholds of Iridia a great maritime trade power, if it weren't for the odd fact that the dwarves who infabit this land actually fear deep waters like hell itself. Their dense bones and stubby bodies simply can't float, rendering them unable to swim, so they hardly ever leave dry land in fear of drowning. Therefore, all their traders make use of much less effective land trade routes instead of maritime ones, travelling far and wide either on foot or on ponies and donkeys, because their short stature also means they can't properly ride horses.

But they do thrive as some of the best land traders of Arandolia, even despite of all their disadvantages. That's because Amazon Dwarves are really resilient and strong for their size, which fully enables them to travel longer distances without tiring themselves, while also carrying much more weight on their backs than an average amazon would on their stead.

As such, they are natural hikers, perfectly built for the peddling business. They might eat a lot and drink alcohol like a true drunkard, but they can cross mountains, forests and swamps like it is a vast flat prairie.

Moreover, the Dwarven Amazons of Iridia are famous for their great stubborness and innate haggling skills. They know how to squeeze every last coin that they possibly can from any deal, and they also carry all the smithing gear they need to craft any kind of complex metalware on the fly. They have all kinds of blueprints and schematics to assure they can attend even the most refined requests, but they also know how to charge for the "convenience cost" of their services.

After all, the know how is everything. The more difficult it would be for their contractors to get whatever they need, the higher the prices will be. Even if the actual cost of crafting the object itself would be as cheap as a big jug of fine ale for themselves.
