Gear: Assorted blunt and non-lethal training weapons.
Outfit: Athletic clothing. Padded armour for training.
Skill level: Battle-hardened war veterans, usually recommissioned or reassigned officers who have seen their fair share of combat.
Affiliation: Every region of Arandolia has their own.
Strengths: Drill Sergeants can significantly improve an army's effectiveness by training, instructing and adapting the soldiers around them. Specially militias and unconventional units.
Weaknesses: They aren't very helpful amongst elite and veteran units, who don't actually need any further practice than what they already have had.
Drill Sergeants
"Lift that lazy ass and correct your battle stance, you arrogant slut! Either you grow some balls and start acting like a true soldier, or I'll make you this unit's communal little whore until you learn how to properly wield a fucking sword!"
Drill Seargents will be drill sergeants, wherever you may go. Arandolia is no exception to this universal rule. Except, of course, for the odd fact that the mean and rude amazon drill sergeants are actually gorgeous never-aging women, instead of the usual grumpy old guys from all over the rest of the world.

But if you think being youthful and pretty makes them any less cruel, hell you are wrong! Their very job is to be cruel. They are the ones who take the rookies through living hell, so when battle finally comes they won't hesitade or die like soft soft-hearted lilies.

Those old and battle-hardened veterans are therefore expected to turn any band of raw recruits who never even dreamed of a battlefied into a well-coordinated and strong-willed fighting force, which undoubtedly make all the difference when the time to fight finally comes.
As such, Drill Sergeants usually are retired or decomissioned actual sergeants or lieutenants, who have seen a lot of blood and war back in their days of soldiering. They chose to enjoy a calmer life away from the battlefied, but still putting all their experience and wisdom to good use at training and preparing the next generations of arandolian warrioresses.

They are the honourable heroes of the past, and also, in a certain way, the ones responsible for the future. At their hands lies the lives and the fates of the ones who will soon succeed them in carrying the burden of protecting their homeland, so they better make sure those young lasses are ready for anything that they may have to face.
