Battlefield Role: Fortress Garrison

Weapons: Longsword, hammer and Shield.

Outfit: Plate armour over mail. A red cape, displaying the colour of Theravalley's Banners.

Skill level: Proficient at melee.

Affiliation: Bearclaw Fortress, in Theravalley

Doctrine: Athena's Way of the Warrioress

Strengths: Steadfast defenders of Theravalley. They won't let any foe ever get through the Bearclaw Pass.

Weaknesses: They are stationary at the Bearclaw Fortress, being completely useless if the region is invaded from elsewhere. Luckily enough, there are only other 2 points of access into Theravalley.

Bearclaw Garrison

Bearclaw Pass is the only access from Theravalley to the Eastern Arandolian Coastline across the Northern Mountains. Most of the past invasions into the region happened through this narrow mountainous crossing, so the Duchess of the Theravalley Highlands ordered a massive fortress to be erected and block the passage of any unwelcomed guests.

Such a castle is up to this day said to be impregnable, partially due to its great defensive structures and privileged strategic positioning, and partially due to the steadfast defenders that keep watch over it. Only the bravest women from the ducal armies are sent there to become full time guardians, though their standing numbers is quite small in times of peace.

Only a couple hundred of them watch not only over the fortress, but also over the small villages surrounding it, ready to make a stand and call for reinforcements shall any danger rises with the rising Sun.

They are the first line of defences for the Theravalley Highlands, never leaving their posts and expected to fight to the death before their fortress falls.
