Alendrian Huntswomen
A good part of the Alendrian Amazons live on lazy settlements by the coast, cultivating crops and breeding cattle on the flat open fields near the seashore. However, in Alendra the farther away from the saltwater you get, the higher are the hills and the denser are the forests. The wilderness takes over the landscape, and there only the tough survive.

Nevertheless, amazon foragers and hunters do live amongst those deep woodlands. Small settlements thrive where only animals would call home, careful to preserve nature, but yet adamant in carving their own space on the local ecosystem, competing against the many other predators who lurk within the foliage.

Just like the Arthemisians, the Eagle Islanders and the Theravalley Highlanders, the Alendrian Amazons have a long tradition of hunting for meat and hides. However, while all those other amazons hunt with bow and arrow from a safe distance, the Alendrian Huntresses use spears to take down their preys from upclose. Be it a stag, a boar or a bear.

Although those huntresses lack actual military training, they aren't afraid of killing people to survive either. Whenever Alendra is at war, the small forest villages send the best amongst them to join the legendary Berserkers' warbands as both pike infantry and skirmishers alike. They excell when fighting within the woods, but they aren't afraid of fighting on the fields too, using their sharp hunting expertise to take down enemy cavalry by targeting the poor mounts.

Whenever an Alendrian Huntress come back home after a war, she returns with plenty of new stories of their latest preys. Because sentient or not, horses and human beings are just as worthy of a slain prey as any boar or bear.
